Jamie  Rodriguez

Owner/Director of Dancer's Edge

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and staff.  My name is Jamie Rodriguez and I've been teaching dance to children of all ages for many years.  I first danced as a soloist for a children's ballet company in Michigan, the Flint Ballet Theatre.  At Western Michigan University  I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree then spent a summer in New York on scholarship to the Harkness House School of Ballet. Dancing for Walt Disney World brought me to Florida where I am continuing my studies in ballet by pursuing my professional licentiate of the Cecchetti method with Pirkko Lawlor, Winter Haven.  Through lessons with Chela Jacobo,  I study the Royal Academy of Dance methods of teaching.  Ms. Jacobo has also offered me the opportunity to study classical Spanish dance and Flamenco. My most recent study, summer of 2006, was a Bulerias and Tango workshop with AnaMaria Lopez in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. I also study tap with Mark Lengyel, a free lance artist offering a method and style all his own that mixes classical tap with hoofing rhythms.

Willy Marchante

Willy has been dancing and choreographing for entertainment entities such as Universal Studios and Sea World for many years. In addition, he has danced and choreographed for artists such as Janine Fatone, Chataqua and a plethora of establishments throughout Orlando. Currently he teaches at Dancer's Edge and performs at Universal Studios.

 Pat Larrabee   (Office Manager)

Ms. Pat has been with Dancer's Edge since it's beginning. She came to us as an experienced dance studio Office Manager of eight years. A long time dance enthusiast, she is not only important to the smooth running of our office, but is a helpmate to Ms. Jamie, the teachers, the students and the parents. If you call or come by the studio during business hours, Ms. Pat will probably be your first contact and you will find her to be informed, accurate and cordial. She always has time from her busy schedule to chat with a small student or a questioning parent. Her smile is quick and genuine. She loves her job and everyone soon becomes a part of our very special "family".
